Disaster Risk Reduction Management Training, August 29-30, 2014, STC AVR

Scientists belonging to the World Meteorological Organization (WMO) met and tackled how to deal with the consequences of global warming. These consequences are the extreme weather conditions which bring tragedy in many parts of the world (The Freeman. August 24, 2014 – Sunday issue, p. 8).

As stewards of the Earth, we are impelled to lessen the impact of destructive natural forces through caring acts towards the environment. At St. Theresa’s College, we are exploring ways to care for the Earth. May we never tire to sacrifice our convenience for the well-being of our planet.

On the other hand, we are challenged to prepare ourselves for possible disaster/s. while we pray that nothing sort of this may happen, we have to heighten our preparedness by developing the needed skills for survival. Thus, an institutional training for all faculty and personnel on Disaster Risk Reduction Management was conducted on August 29-30, 2014 at the AVR.
